Hangleton Primary School

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Hangleton Primary School may we welcome you to our website.

Since the merger of Hangleton Infants and Hangleton Juniors, our journey has been a challenge but we are delighted with the outcome; one successful 2 form entry school, where we can nurture children from reception through to year 6. This was recognised by Ofsted in January 2024, when we were rated GOOD.

Our school is situated on the outskirts of Brighton and Hove and we have been serving our community for over 60 years. We are lucky to have a beautiful site, with 2 halls and 2 playgrounds, allowing for flexibility when we work with groups of children. The children achieve high standards in the key areas of Maths and English whilst also experiencing an exciting broad and balanced curriculum. Children have the opportunity to visit many interesting places and also attend a residential visit in year 6. The school has a swimming pool which allows all pupils to have swimming lessons with a qualified instructor.

As a school we are committed to a strong working partnership with parents and carers in order that each individual pupil should gain maximum benefit from their time at Hangleton.
