Music
At Hangleton we believe that music is a powerful form of communication that can change the way pupils feel, think and act.
Through exposure to a wide range of styles we hope to ignite the children’s interest and we use this as a vehicle for understanding cultural and historical aspects across our topics.
We hope to foster in children a love of singing as well as a basic understanding of notation, rhythm, timing and key skills when learning an instrument. We offer a range of individual music lessons within the school, a visiting specialist music teacher, drumming club and also a KS1 and KS2 choir.
Whether it is a boost in their self-esteem or to hone their listening skills, music is the source of a wealth of opportunities.
